Typical Worship Schedule for the Month
- First Sunday of the Month - Holy Communion - all are invited to participate, including children
- Second Sunday of the Month - Multicultural worship, including Gospel Choir, youth participation
- Third Sunday of the Month - Congregational Choir
- Last Sunday of the Month - Jazz Sunday, frequently including guest jazz musician(s) and/or vocalist(s), members of the congregation and our own Fred Fischer on the piano
Examples of Special Worship Services during the Year
- African American History Month services in February
- Women's Sunday, just before Valentine's Day - women lead worship, expect a notable woman (sometimes a guest) to be providing the massage during worship, and the men cook up a good breakfast before worship
- Ash Wednesday - beginning Lent
- Palm Sunday - expect a procession with palm leaves, it is possible a donkey could be sighted
- Easter -
- Pentecost -
- Summer - more casual services, but surprises, nonetheless
- Christmas Eve - verses, carols and candle-light service celebrating Christ's birth
- Other services include celebrations of Gay Pride, UN Sunday, Puerto Rican Heritage and Chinese New Year
